the effects of stress:
Oct. 13th, 2005 12:52 pmi am just about all out of clean clothes - at least as far as comfy, every day clothes go.
i am just about out of food.
my room is a wreck, though i finally got all of my hangers and hung out most of the hangable stuff yesterday.
next up is finishing that, putting my shoes on that closet's floor and clearing out a whole corner of my room. then, i need to find homes for the weird clothing stuffs and finally rearrange the room. yeah.
sol3 and i wandered out to BaGG last night. the club seemed a lot emptier then it was for death guild, and between that, not knowing anyone there and worrying about getting too tired to drive, we left an hour early. but, we made it onto the highway before it was closed for the night (damn construction!) and made it back to my house in 20 minutes.
i ended up running to two sets of toyota dealerships yesterday, so now the car stuff is totally settled. as in, i have a CA license being sent to me, i have the new car insured, the loan in place and... and... that's it! it still feels a bit weird.
a perk of living in california: yesterday, my roommates showed me where i can get a yummy veggie burrito for under $5. i'm not sure which pleased me more - how it tasted, or that i didn't have to explain to the staff that i'd like a burrito without any meat.
something else i'm loving about living here: less then a mile from here, there's a small produce and grocery store that has lots of fresh, and often organic, stuff. it's run by a couple, and since my roommate introduced me, they remember me, say hi, and even ask how my roommates are doing.

Date: 2005-10-14 03:25 am (UTC)See? California is friendly after all :)
I hope you can de-stress. Take a day for yourself, if only to sort everything out.
No school-work, one day.
When you're really stressy, it's hard to work as hard or focus anyway. I doubt you'll lose more time than it's worth over it.
HUGS!

Date: 2005-10-15 05:08 am (UTC)I would be happy to chip in gas and am prepared to be either silent or entertaining, whichever is required. I can keep checking to see if anyone else is coming back up.
