elvendoll: (look)

I'm feeling definitively off-kilter today.
I also took St. John's Wort today. The weekend was definately off-kilter as well, but I handled the downturns really poorly. My emotions just spiralled out of control a few times, in a way that only PMS and SAD trigger and I'm definately not PMSing. Looks like living here bought me about a month sans medication, but I'll take what I can get.

Yeah, weekend. On Friday, [livejournal.com profile] sol3 and I skipped the party bus event I'd found info on and just went to the DNA lounge. Ran into people I knew, which is really the highlight of any day these days, danced a bit, and generally had a decent night.
Saturday day was spent putzing around online and at [livejournal.com profile] sol3's place. I got enough done so that I didn't feel shitty about it, and felt really bad that the photo idea we had been working on wasn't actually suitable for it's purpose.
The original plan for the evening was to do something in the city and then catch meat beat manifesto playing in Oakland. First, we nearly decided to stay home. Then, we decided to go to a party z. invited us to. And then my costume malfunctioned - causing 20-25 minutes of frustration and angst. I managed to get into it with sheer force of stubbornness, and we were off. Found good parking near the party - but didn't get let in - some sort of miscommunication between one of the hosts and the (hired) bouncer, apparently. After all that, and with how the meat beat show was being run, we decided to just go home, where I curled up and the world promptly went away.

The plan for Sunday was to go biking at Tilden Park, but unfortunately [livejournal.com profile] sol3 sprained his ankle when putting his bike on my car, so not only did that mean no biking for us, but he's still in pain : /
We drove around for a while to find food, advil, an ankle brace and a couple of other things.
By the time we got to his place I was pretty discontent with the state of the world and craving a shower, a naked juice and a change of clothes.
This made us head back to my place, with pauses to look - and not find - a store that sells naked juice around here.
Once home, I actually felt a bit better and managed to get a lot of cleaning and unpacking done in my room - it now has more floor then it's had since I grabbed my clothes from [livejournal.com profile] cuthalion's over a month ago. A little bit more, and I think it'll be ready to be rearranged.
[livejournal.com profile] threadwalker invited us to join her at a party in the evening, and both of us enjoyed our time there - I'm hoping that upswing continues : )

Give his ankle 2 weeks, and then I can be helpful with getting rid of any scar tissue. Other things are just common sense (going easy on it, etc.), but the one thing i forgot to metion is taking or applying arnica. You can find it at most alternative medicine stores and some crunchy grocery stores. It heals tissue like mad. A dancer told me about it and when I checked with my doctor she had all kinds of praise for it. It comes as either a gel or chewable tabs. You can use either or both.

Glad I was part of the upswing. I hope it continues too! If not before, I shall see you at Death Guild tonight. :)

Y'know, I usually use arnica for bruising - just didn't think of it for a sprained ankle. I should pick some up.

You definately were - thank you!
And *nods* - let me know if dinner/wandering becomes an option : )

Peversely, I have more clutter than I did when you picked up your stuff.

You also have more furniture now, and I think there's a correlation between amount of furniture and amount of clutter.

The clutter is in my bedroom though, which isn't where the furniture is, or where your stuff is. So neither one of them are really relevant. Please disregard my previous comment. :D
