Happy New Year!
Jan. 1st, 2007 06:36 pmI welcomed in this year with a toasting, glass-clinking and a very sore throat.
In some ways, pulling the party together was pretty indicative of 2006 - I wasn't on top of my game in terms of planning and setting up.
Luckily,
sol3,
amber_phoenix and
longuer are amazing cohosts and when 9 o'clock came around, the house definately looked ready for a party.
This was the most mellow NYE I've had in a couple of decades - but if this is a sign that 2007 will be a more relaxed and less high-strung year, I welcome it.
Happy New Year everyone - I am so glad to have welcomed it in with some of you last night, and hope everyone welcomed it in well.
I see 2007 as being a year of lots of changes, and I look forward to embracing them. I started last night, trying something new and in embracing a tradition that is new to me - eating 12 grapes in the new year, making a wish with each one.
