Mar. 16th, 2007 05:53 pmYesterday included a quick trip to the office to go over my notes from the training course, finally picking up some greens at Trader Joes, a very frustrating stop into Ross, and then a shopping spree at my favorite thriftstore. At the end of it, and for just over $100, I have 4 pairs of pants, 4 skirts, 2 sweaters, a shirt, a pair of shoes, a playa shirt and a cutesy little dress I'm enamoured with. And, more important then all that, I feel like I have reasonable business casual clothes to wear in to work, instead of the "omg, what do I do?" panic that was there before.
I got home later then planned, but my classmate was pretty understanding. By the time that meeting was done, I was so drained that
sol3 offered to go out and get me a burrito. He got back just a few minutes before P. came over to pick me up for yoga, and I scarfed half of it down before running off.
Sadly, this yoga teacher annoys me more and more with every class. He has this horrible tendency to have us hold a position for way longer on one side then the other as he's doing corrections. He rushes us through the basic vinyasa, and in this last class, he had us "meditating" for 5 minutes instead of shavasna. ugh. And personally, I just can't hold my arms up for about half the class. I'm glad other people don't seem to have this problem, but it drives me a bit batty.
Today, I'm behind on my task list.
I didn't do nearly enough catching up and straightening out.
I did take my car in for its 15,000 maintenance, and the nice people at Toyota also cleaned all the playa dust from my car's insides - which was apparently causing the clicking/whirring noise I noticed when braking over the past week.
I also did my part for the school project and am starting to tackle the laundry.
Good thing I have a few more days of not working to do the rest of the stuff : )
