Mar. 18th, 2007 08:40 pmI'm dead tired after a relatively good weekend.
On Friday night,
sol3 and I went to see Volver, and really enjoyed it.
On Saturday, we got up at a sane hour, went to Rudy's for brunch and then headed into the city to catch the Picasso exhibit. We didn't realize it was St. Patrick's Day, so the lack of parking at West Oakland BART had us really confused up until we got into the city and walked out of the BART station to the aftermath of the parade.
It was really great to just get up, eat and head into the city to go see art - both in terms of making for a very enjoyable afternoon and a good affirmation of why we live where we live. The exhibit triggered a lot of thoughts, but they're not processed enough for here yet.
While in the city, we also got udon that
sol3 has been missing during the months his work has been so busy he can't hop over to the city for lunch, and failed to find him a good new travel bag. We meant to do a lot more upon getting home, but ended up just falling over.
I then woke up at 4am with an anxiety attack over cooking from a recipe I'd never tried before for a significant group of people, and it took about an hour and 600mg of valerian to convince my brain that nothing can be done about it at that hour.
Ironically, I then had a bitch of a time getting up this morning, which was necessary to get everything done in time.
And most of today has been spent with wonderful people at a wonderful future person's shower : ) I hope littlest feels properly welcome to join this world when s/he is ready.
Next up is driving

Date: 2007-03-19 05:27 am (UTC)rationally speaking, I knew there's a limit to how badly putting potatoes in the oven could go - but for some reason, the anxiety was having none of it.
I'm very glad they turned out to be edible, though : )
