(this idea stolen from others) my past halloween costumes:
2000 - i was a vinyl kitty. nothing original, i know, but its something i hadn't done yet, and wanted to do. the vinyl catsuit looked a bit awkward on me, i thought, but people told me differently. and hell - it was great during the drizzle while we were walking around salem : )
1999 - betty page - as usual, the costume didn't come out too much like i wanted it to look, but it got the point across and i had fun with it : )
1198 - i sucked that year. i wanted to go as the snow queen, and at the last minute, wimped out and wore a big white petticoat and a velvet bodice top. that halloween was spent in NYC, and (IMHO) was a bit disappointing
1997 - i was a dead bride - which is short for saying i was a poor and busy college student and didn't really do much. for the party i went to, though, it was all good (i was at a party of a friend who went to UML at the time, and they didn't go too far out for the holiday)
1996 - i believe this was the year i tried to go for the bride of frankenstein look and made all my hair (about 3-4 inches shorter then how long it is now) stand straight up with elmer's glue and egg whites. i put my coat on by swinging it over my head, so i nearly broke my hair off like 5 times that day : )
1995 - *hides* i don't remember. i know i spent that halloween with carla... but i have no recollection of what i was....
1994 - a hooker! : ) i had this teenie tiny miniskirt... and i forget what else... but i think i definitely pulled off the hooker look : ) kira's mom even gave us cigarettes for the costume! : )
1993 - another year i don't remember. this would've been my freshman year in HS, and very shortly after my move to CA... but i am totally blanking on it... oh! wait! i went to a party... i meant to go as black kittycat, but got mouse ears by mistake, so i was a mouse with an identity crisis! totally forgot about that : )
1992 - can't remember who i was... oh, wait - i do! i had a store-bought pierro(sp) costume, and went trick or treating with eve...
1991 - vampire. i wore ripped up blue jeans, a tattered button down shirt, cheap plastic fangs and lots of gooey fake blood : ) ...and i went trick or treating with my stepdad's sister and her friends : )
1990 - i have absolutely no recollection...
1989 - my very first halloween! although, i had about a half a clue about what halloween was, and even less of a clue as to what to do - elissa's parents thought it would be a good idea to invite me to go trick or treating with her, so that's what i did... my family decided i should go as a ghost, wearing a (yellow) mickey mouse windbreaker (the cheap things you get at disneyland if it rains while you're there). luckily, i had no idea how embarrassing that should have been, and had a good time anyways : )
this year, i will once again attempt to be the snow queen. i think if i fail again, i will retire the idea... but here's hoping i won't fail : )
