out of curiosity, how would a guy feel if he were to find out that a pair of female roommates often discussed which could/should hook up with him?

Standard roommate rules call for no hooking up with roommates. Exception for if you moved in as a couple/triad/whatever. Didn't you know that?

I've broken that rule, to no bad effect, but I don't believe in roommate rules in general (I've also broken the rule you're citing, in that I visited one girl and hooked up with her and her roomate back and forth for a few days). But if you're gonna stick to roommate rules, all of this is out of bounds :)
