Cute overload: I have two kittens and a [livejournal.com profile] sol3 sleeping snuggled up to me. How can I possibly be cleaning right now?!

The kittens have also discovered the big cat litterbox and the big cat food. I'm hoping to keep them on the babycat food for two more months, but if they keep going at this rate, I'll have them all eating all-ages food sooner then that.

The bad kitten news is that Dash has ringworm. We got a heads up that their local siblings got it, so it was less of a surprise when we saw that his dry skin spot became a bald spot, but it's still unpleasant. And the treatment involves bathing him in a sulfur solution, so now he smells like rotten eggs.

On a sign of how scattered [livejournal.com profile] sol3 and I have been, it took us not being able to turn onto International at 1:30am last night to realize that the Cinco de Mayo celebration is today. Neither one of us has been up for wandering out into the madness.

Wait, did you name yours Dot and Dash? You did, didn't you?

Due to gender confusion and someone else planning to adopt Yakko, we were considering renaming Wakko to Dash and keeping Dot as is.

Back to the drawing board!

Yes, we totally did, though her full name is Dorothy. And I totally spaced that one of yours is named Dot!

Are you guys keeping Dot and Wakko?

That's the plan. We'll have Yakko for another month or so.

Dot and Slash have already been rejected - Slash seems like an unwise name (and it doesn't fit, anyway). The best I can think of now is Dot and Ginny, for Dorothy Parker and Virginia Woolf, but I don't think they had any real-life connection. Hmm...

The ringworm treatments do not sound like fun. Poor Dash!

Hrmm...

Our Dot is a Wizard of Oz inspired Dorothy, so my mind jumped to Scarecrow, but that's not much better than Slash, is it?

And he was remarkably unshaken by the whole thing, and we the humans seemed to be more bothered by the smell. With all luck, we won't have to repeat the procedure.
